My friends…
It’s always a beautiful day here in the Eastern Sierra. I’m Noé from eastsideweather.com, here for MammothFM in the Eastern Sierra, coming atcha with your local weather report…
Our storm arrives on Wednesday evening, and will last through Thursday. As we’ve been discussing, this storm is bringing in high snow levels which won’t come crashing until early Thursday morning. We’re looking at snow accumulations of 4-8 inches above 9000 feet, with up to 10 inches possible along higher peaks. Mammoth’s main lodge should see around 2-5”. In town, the snow line will be marginal and fluctuate. If we see any accumulation, it’ll be overnight on Wednesday or Thursday night when we have colder air. We could see up to one inch sticking in town on the tail end of the storm, but it will mostly be falling as rain. After this, another potential storm window is emerging for the very end of October, but it’s still too soon to really discuss this as confidence is low as it’s still pretty far out.
And now for the weather forecast this week:

Eastside Weather is a passion project, but keeping it running comes with steady monthly costs: hosting, data feeds and the servers that crunch the model runs. Right now the site costs more than it brings in. Whatever you chip in goes straight back into keeping it going and building new tools.
