My friends…
It’s always a beautiful day here in the Eastern Sierra. I’m Noé from eastsideweather.com, here for MammothFM in the Eastern Sierra, coming atcha with your local weather report…
Our storm came in pretty much as expected, dropping 3” of snow at Main Lodge, mostly rain in town, and 5” of snow at the summit of Mammoth. Areas to the south of Mammoth likely got considerably more, as the southerly track of the storm put them in a more favorable location relative to us.
Clear weather prevails for the next week or so. And then, a possible change in the pattern is being monitored, but right now it’s still not certain whether this window will materialize. And the models are showing an increasing precipitation signal into November, but this is just too far out to count on at the moment. However, I am optimistic. If that counts for anything.
And now for the weather forecast this weekend:
In Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding areas.
Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Breezy winds up to 40mph, with an overnight low of 27.
Saturday will be partly sunny and gradually clear up, with a high of 53 and northeast winds gusting to 20mph. Clear overnight with a low of 29.
And then Sunday and Monday are both clear, with highs near 60 and lows near 32.
And now down to our friends in the Owens Valley.
Friday will be sunny with a high near 63. North winds gusting up to 25mph, particularly later in the day. Clear overnight with a low of 36.
Saturday will be sunny with a high near 66, light north winds, and an overnight low of 38.
And then Sunday and Monday will be warmer and clear, with highs near 72 and lows near 40 both days.

Eastside Weather is a passion project, but keeping it running comes with steady monthly costs: hosting, data feeds and the servers that crunch the model runs. Right now the site costs more than it brings in. Whatever you chip in goes straight back into keeping it going and building new tools.
